How to use it
Type a single number such as 5432 to see every registry row on it. Type two numbers with a hyphen, such as 5000-5100, to list a range of up to 2,000 numbers; stretches with no entry fold into one line. Type a word such as postgres or mqtt to search service names and labels. The address bar keeps the query, so a result can be bookmarked or shared.
What the columns mean
- Service
- The service name IANA registered, exactly as written in the registry.
- Label
- The registry's own short description, quoted unchanged.
- Registered / Modified
- Dates recorded by IANA. Older assignments carry none; some show only a month.
- Reserved
- The number is held back on that protocol, usually because the service asked for only one transport.
- No number
- A service name registered without a port, for example for service discovery. It appears in name searches only.
